After weeks of forgetting it at my house, and me wearing it out and about Mike finally gave me his hat.

It always takes me some time to work my way into a new sketchbook. But, a new book I have. And so, I shall try to post as much from it as possible, starting with the first scribble on the first page and working my way in.

Eggs, Wax, and Labor

Last weekend I enjoyed a visit from my friend Bonnie (see ear drawing, http://joshwishart.blogspot.com/2008/05/last-night-coffee-bonnies-ear-more.html ) and we spent a couple of solid days working out an idea of hers. Finally we came up with some acceptable methods to produce some prototypes.

Studio Multiples

I've been building multiples. Here are a few of the repetitive objects that I've been stuck on. The paper boats I've taken particular joy in making. I've made a whole host of them, most have been dipped in wax, some have messages written on the surface before they are folded, and others are joined together in various patterns or in attempts at effective structures.

Hmmm... well, I definitely played while doing this.

New Grey Pen

Some stuff with the new gray pen. I like it best on its own so far. This gray seems an odd match-up with my normal black pen. The black is a bit to aggressive or something, but, more experiments to follow.
